VLK Rogue Best Class Setups & Best Attachments Modern Warfare

This guide goes in-depth and looks at the VLK Rogue Best Class Setups & Best Attachments in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. We look at weapon stats such as damage, rate of fire, and recoil.

The VLK Rogue is a 12 gauge mag fed shotgun in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Although, the shotgun looks and sounds great. It is no contender to the 725 or R9-0.

It is similar to the Origin 12. However, it has a slower fire rate which some players may find hard to use.

In this guide, we give our suggestions on the best attachments to use on the VLK Rogue.

Finally, we give our recommended class setups to run when using the VLK shotgun.

Weapon background

There has been plenty of mag fed 12 gauge shotguns in Call of Duty. The SG12 from Black Ops 4 comes to mind. However, the VLK Rogue is unique to Modern Warfare. We have never seen this shotgun model in a COD game before.

Stats

  • Damage: 100 – 20
  • Rate of Fire: 80 RPM
  • Recoil: High

We can see from the stats above that the VLK Rogue is a 1 to 5 shot to kill shotgun. It can kill players in one shot in very close range. After about 5 meters it drops off to 2 or more shots to kill. Its fire rate is rather slow and the weapon cannot be spammed like the Origin 12.

Best Attachments

The best attachments for the VLK Rogue in Modern Warfare are the:

  • FORGE TAC Marauder
  • VLK Czar Barrel
  • Stippled Grip tape

These attachments are essential in order to extend the weapon’s abysmal range. The Stippled Grip tape gives you a great boost in mobility, speeding up both the ADS speed and Sprint to Fire times.

Best Class Setups

Here are the 3 best class setups to run with the VLK Rogue shotgun in MW. Each class setup is geared towards a different playstyle.

Class 1 – VLK Run and Gun

This VLK class setup is perfect for players that love to get around the map quickly. Load the following attachments onto the VLK Rogue:

  • 6” Revolt Barrel
  • Tac Laser
  • FSS Close Quarters Stock
  • XRK Race Grip
  • Stippled Grip Tape

Class Setup

The rest of the loadout keeps speed and stealth in mind.

  • Secondary: The 1911 is a reliable pistol. Mainly because of its moderate yet powerful stats.
  • Perk 1: Double Time enables a much longer double sprint. (tap the sprint button to activate).
  • Perk 2: Ghost is very important if you want to get around the map undetected.
  • Perk 3: Tune-Up makes your Field Upgrades charge 7% faster. Use Dead Silence in this class.
  • Lethal: The C4 is a rushers paradise. Mainly because of its highly explosive output.
  • Tactical: The Stun Grenade is essential with the VLK. It’s far easier to slow down your enemies before shooting them. Especially with a weapon with such a slow fire rate.

Class 2 – VLK Range Getter

The range class is built with the intention of extending the VLKs range as much as possible. The weapon’s biggest downfall!

Load the shotgun with the following attachments:

  • FORGE TAC Marauder
  • VLK Czar
  • PBX Holo 7 Sight(your choice)
  • XRK Race Grip
  • Stippled Grip Tape

Class Setup

The rest of the VLK range loadout is made for maximizing ammo reserves to keep you alive longer. Just don’t miss your shots like a noob.

  • Secondary: The .357 is the best pistol in the game. Check out our .357 guide now.
  • Perk 1: Scavenger keeps the ammo flowing nicely.
  • Perk 2: Ghost might make you feel like a noob for using it. But it’s essential in this game.
  • Perk 3: Shrapnel gives you 2 lethals. Placed correctly and that’s two easy kills.
  • Lethal: 2 Claymores for double the explosions.
  • Tactical: Again a Stun is used here to slow down that target before popping off those 12 gauge shells.

Class 3 – VLK All Rounder

This class is built with a range of playstyles in mind. It works really well in Domination, Hardpoint, and other objective type games. Fit the following onto the VLK:

  • FORGE TAC Marauder
  • No Stock
  • XRK Race Grip
  • 8 Round Slug Mags
  • Stippled Grip Tape

Class Setup

The remainder of the all-rounder class takes into consideration offense aswel as defense. Very important elements when playing most objective-based game modes.

  • Secondary: The Deagle is a 1 shot killer in medium range. Just dont miss!
  • Perk 1: E.O.D. is great when holding your own in the Hardpoint. It will save your ass from nade spam.
  • Perk 2: Restock is important. Because when you’re attacking and defending objectives, you need those claymores and stuns rolling in much as possible.
  • Perk 3: Battle-Hardened is essential especially in game modes like Hardpoint. It’s going to make the stun and flash spam far more bearable.
  • Lethal: Claymores are most effectively placed on or near the flag or HP.
  • Tactical: Flash Grenades work great along with the VLK. Remember blinding the enemy makes the shotguns slow fire rate much more viable.
