This guide focuses on the SKS Best Class Setups & Attachments in Modern Warfare. Check out these 3 BEAST MODE classes.

Season 3 of Modern Warfare brings with it lots of new content including 2 all-new powerful weapons.

The SKS is a semi-automatic DMR Soviet rifle.

The SKS is similar to the EBR-14. However, the SKS has a slightly faster fire rate and can be turned into a lightweight sawn-off rushing rifle. Its pretty fun and can 2 shot people from a decent range.

Weapon background

The SKS has appeared in various Call of Duty titles down the years. It appeared in Black Ops DS as an AR, MW3 Defiance as a DMR and now in Modern Warfare as a Marksman rifle.

NOTE: The SKS Marksman rifle is unlocked at tier 31 of the battle pass.

Stats

  • Damage: 57 – 48
  • Rate of Fire: 328RPM
  • Recoil: Low
  • Time to Kill: 183ms

From the stats above we can see that the SKS is a 2 to 3 shot marksman rife. The weapon will take out an enemy in 2 shots from close to medium range. In extremely close ranges the rifle can eliminate at the enemy in 1 shot. Headshots are also a 1 shot kill close to medium range.

Best Attachments

The best attachments for the SKS in Modern Warfare are the:

  • 16” FSS Para Barrel
  • FTAC Landmark Barrel
  • Commando Foregrip

The 16” Para barrel is very effective in speeding up your ADS speed and overall movement speed. The FTAC Landmark barrel extends the rifles range by over 10%.

Finally, the Commando Foregrip stabilizes your aim making you more accurate. This is quite important provided that the weapon is a 2 shot kill most of the time.

Best Class Setups

Here are the best class setups to use when running the SKS marksman rifle in Modern Warfare. We have gone in-depth into every aspect of the class including secondaries, perks, and equipment.

Class 1 – SKS Sharpshooter

The sharpshooter class is built for players that like to be accurate and land clean shots on target. Attach the following onto the SKS:

  • FTAC Landmark Barrel
  • Canted Hybrid Scope
  • SKS Rifle Stock
  • Commando Foregrip
  • 30 Round Mags

Class Setup

The remainder of the loadout takes into consideration a more careful gameplay style.

  • Secondary: The Deagle is a powerful semi-automatic pistol.
  • Perk 1: E.O.D is a great perk to protect you from explosives and fire. It also resets the fuse if you pick up a cooked frag.
  • Perk 2: Ghost leaves you undetectable from enemy UAVs, Radar Drones, and Heartbeat Sensors.
  • Perk 3: Shrapnel is a great perk when your game plan is to take your time on those bigger maps.
  • Lethal: 2 C4 in the loadout gives you a great advantage especially over campers perched above. Chuck your C4 at them next time.
  • Tactical: The Heartbeat Sensor is quite powerful especially for snipers who need to be aware of people flanking their position.

Class 2 – SKS Renetti

This class is the all-new Season 3 weapon combo. It brings the freshness of the SKS and the semi-auto power of the close-range Renetti pistol. Kit the following attachments onto the SKS rifle:

  • 16″ FSS Para Barrel
  • Tac Laser
  • Sawed-off Stock
  • Commando Foregrip
  • 10 Round Mags

Class Setup

The remainder of the class is built for speed and agility. This class is great for players that like to get around the map quickly.

  • Secondary: The Renetti is a well rounded and powerful secondary. Especially when in those close range and frantic moments.
  • Perk 1: Double Time not only doubles tactical sprint duration but it also increases crouch movement by 30%. So its actually like a little hidden Skulker perk from BO4.
  • Perk 2: Pointman is great for players that love to play the objective. You will actually be rewarded for your bravery over on the B flag.
  • Perk 3: Tune Up boosts your Field Upgrade charge rate by 40%. We recommend Dead Silence in this class. Dead Silence means more speed.
  • Lethal: Thermites are great for temporarily blocking enemy routes or clearing enemies capping flags.
  • Tactical: The Stun acts as a great companion to the Thermite Grenade. Chuck the Stun first then follow it up with a Thermite.

Class 3 – Specialist Soldier

We don’t usually use the Specialist ability but for the SKS we decided to be a little frisky. This class is built for all-out warfare. Strictly gun skill, no extra support. Load the SKS with the following attachments:

  • Mono Suppressor
  • 16″ FSS Para
  • G.I. Mini Reflex
  • SKS Rifle Stock
  • Commando Foregrip

Class Setup

The remainder of the class is focused on the specialist setup. We’ve been using it quite a lot in Domination and it simply beasts.

  • Secondary: The R-90 shotgun is an absolute beast in close range.
  • Perk 1: E.O.D. for explosive protection.
  • Perk 2: Overkill to pack that beast shotgun.
  • Perk 3: Battle-Hardened to have you defending flags like a champ.
  • Perk 4: Ghost to hide you from enemy radars and heartbeat sensors and drones.
  • Perk 5: Scavenger in case you run out of ammo to early.
  • Perk 6: Restock to keep your equipment stocked up. They recharge every 25 seconds.
  • Lethal: The trusty frag is great combined with Restock. You’ll be popping them off like a mad man.
  • Tactical: The Stim is very important here. Especially as dying will reset your Specialist streak.
