GKS Best Class Setups & Attachments COD Mobile

The GKS is a fully automatic submachine gun released in COD Mobile Season 5. The SMG is high damage and high accuracy SMG. However, its fire rate does not contend to other weapons in its class such as the PDW or MSMC

The GKS highlight is its low recoil making it very viable in close to medium range combat. 

This guide goes through the GKS weapon stats such as damage, fire rate, and recoil. We then look at the accuracy of the weapon. Finally, we give our best attachments and class setups suggestions for the GKS in Call of Duty Mobile.

Weapon background

The GKS is a Black Ops 4 original. It appears as the exact same weapon in Call of Duty Mobile, low recoil and high accuracy. Check out the stats below.


  • Damage: 70
  • Rate of Fire: 48
  • Recoil: 60

Reading the stats above we can conclude that the GKS submachine gun can kill in 2 to 3 shots in short to medium range. However, because of the weapon’s low fire rate, it should be used more like an AR. Coming up against an MSMC or other faster firing weapon wouldn’t go so well.

Best Attachments

The best attachments for the GKS are the Long Barrel, Quickdraw, and Stock. The long barrel is going to give you some extended range. Quickdraw will speed up your ADS times and Stock will make you a harder target up close. This is to combat situations when you come up against someone with a faster firing weapon.

Best Class Setups

Below are the 3 best class setups to use on the GKS in COD Mobile. As always, every playstyle is taken into account and there is plenty of variety to suit everyone’s style.

Class 1 – GKS Giddy Up

The Giddy Up class is for players that love to rotate the map as quickly as possible. Staying mobile and agile. Put these attachments on your weapon:

  • Quickdraw
  • Long Barrel
  • Stock
  • Red Dot Sight

Class Setup

  • Secondary: The MW11 is reliable in close quarters combat.
  • Perk 1: Lightweight will keep you faster on your toes.
  • Perk 2: Ghost is a much-needed perk if you plan on going on long rushing sessions.
  • Perk 3: Dead Silence is very important if you want to rush and be stealthy.
  • Lethal: Trip Mines are great to place down near an objective or on a flank route.
  • Tactical: Use the stun grenade before rushing into a room known for campers. The poor little camper will shit their pants if they get stunned and killed on a 1 kill streak.

Class 2 – GKS Go-Getter

This GKS class is perfect for players that love to get those higher scorestreaks. Load the GKS with the following attachments:

  • Quickdraw
  • Long Barrel
  • Extended Mags
  • Scope of the players choice

Class Setup

  • Secondary: The MW11 is essential because of its faster fire rate over the J358.
  • Perk 1: Persistence is a great perk because your scorestreaks don’t reset if you die. However, they’ll cost double.
  • Perk 2: Vulture is the same as Scavenger in other COD titles. It’s essential when you’re going for those longer scorestreaks.
  • Perk 3: Hardline increases your points earned by 25%. 
  • Lethal: Use your Trip Mine near the B flag or down a flank route.
  • Tactical: The Flash grenade works great. Especially when you’re in close quarters and need to flee. Throw the flashbang back before re-engaging.

Class 3 – GKS All Round

This class fits everyone’s playstyle. It works great in Domination, Hardpoint and even Team Deathmatch. Attach the following onto the GKS:

  • Quickdraw
  • Long Barrel
  • Extended Mags
  • Scope of the players choice

Class Setup

The remainder of the loadout is built for all-round gameplay. 

  • Secondary: The J358 is a powerful and showstopping secondary. Just be precise with your aim.
  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket reduces explosive damage by 35%.
  • Perk 2: Toughness is a great perk to keep your aim strong when under pressure.
  • Perk 3: Tactical Mask keeps you protected from enemy tactical equipment. 
  • Lethal: Frags are a trusty lethal in any class.
  • Tactical: The Trophy System is great when trying to capture the B flag.
