SP-R 208 Best Attachments & Loadouts Modern Warfare

Today’s review looks at the SP-R 208 Marksman rifle. The Season 6 rifle has taken the community by storm and is now arguably the best sniper rifle in the game.

This review focuses on the competitive stats of the weapon. We look at stats such as damage, rate of fire and recoil. After a run down of the stats, we provide the best attachments and class setups to run on the SP-R 208.

Weapon background

The SP-R 208 has never been seen in previous Call of Duty titles. However, a variant of this weapon has appeared in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare as the R700.

  • Damage: Upper chest: 177, other ammo conversions: 184
  • Rate of Fire: 47 RPM
  • Recoil: Low

We can see from the stats above that the SP-R 208 is a 1 shot to kill to the upper chest. This also depends on the distance. In close to medium range the weapon shreds. This also depends on the handlers aim. Remember that the SP-R 208 is a Marksman rifle, so it required good aim and a decent trigger finger.

Best Attachments

The best attachments for the SP-R 208 in Modern Warfare are the .338 Lapua Mag 5-R Mags, SLR Asp Barrel, and the ZRK SP-Lite 208 Blitz stock. The Lapua mags add a tonne of benefits to the weapon including bullet velocity, damage range, and overall damage. The ZLR Asp barrel gives you that well-needed ADS and movement speeds. Finally, the Blitz stock speeds up the overall usability of the weapon.

Best Class Setups

Here are our top 3 recommended class setups for the SP-R 208 Marksman rifle in Modern Warfare.

Class 1 – Max Speed

The Max Speed setup maximizes the speed and usability of the weapon. Run the following attachments on the weapon:

  • ZLR Asp
  • Tac Laser
  • XRK SP-Lite 208 Blitz
  • .338 Lapua Mag 5-R Mag
  • Sloan KR-600 Feather Bolt

Class Setup

The remainder of the class setup great for 6v6 multiplayer especially Free for All.

  • Secondary: .50 GS
  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Restock
  • Perk 3: Shrapnel
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Flash Granade

The main benefit of this setup is restock. It will make sure you always have a steady supply of equipment in your inventory. Great when you’re trying to go on a killstreak or defending a flag.

Class 2 – Warzone Setup

This class setup is geared towards Warzone players. Attach the following onto the rifle:

  • XRK 208 Dragoon
  • Tac Laser
  • Solozero SP-R 28mm
  • .388 Lapua Mag 5-R Mags
  • Sloan KR-600 Feather Bolt

Class Setup

The rest of the class is made for stealth and reconnaissance.

  • Secondary: Renetti
  • Perk 1: Cold Blooded
  • Perk 2: Ghost
  • Perk 3: Tracker
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade

Cold Blooded, Ghost and Tracker are really effective perks in Warzone. They keep you stealthy and give you the heads up on enemy movement. Two very important factors in Warzone. The remainder of the class is not really important and down to personal preference.

Class 3 – All Round

The final class setup for this weapon is the all-round class. The weapon is fitted with attachments to balance it out taking into consideration its strong points. Load the following onto the rifle:

  • XRK 208 Dragoon
  • Tac Laser
  • XRK SP-Lite 208 Blitz
  • .338 Lapua Mags
  • Focus

Class Setup

The class setup works great in MP objective modes such as Domination or Hardpoint.

  • Secondary: .357
  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Ghost
  • Perk 3: Battle Hardened
  • Lethal: C4
  • Tactical: Stun

This triple combo of Double Time, Ghost, and Battle Hardened works perfectly in objective-based game modes. Especially if you love to defend and capture the OBJ. C4 is great for clearing the flag of enemies.
