Today’s review looks at the SP-R 208 Marksman rifle. The Season 6 rifle has taken the community by storm and is now arguably the best sniper rifle in the game.
This review focuses on the competitive stats of the weapon. We look at stats such as damage, rate of fire, and recoil. After a rundown of the stats, we provide the best attachments and class setups to run on the SP-R 208.
Weapon background
The SP-R 208 has never been seen in previous Call of Duty titles. However, a variant of this weapon has appeared in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare as the R700.
Stats
- Damage: Upper chest: 177, other ammo conversions: 184
- Rate of Fire: 47 RPM
- Recoil: Low
We can see from the stats above that the SP-R 208 is a 1 shot to kill to the upper chest. This also depends on the distance. In close to medium range the weapon shreds. This also depends on the handler’s aim. Remember that the SP-R 208 is a Marksman rifle, so it required good aim and a decent trigger finger.
Best Attachments

- .338 Lapua Mag 5-R Mags
- SLR Asp Barrel

The Lapua mags add a tonne of benefits to the weapon including bullet velocity, damage range, and overall damage. The ZLR Asp barrel gives you well-needed ADS and movement speeds. Finally, the Blitz stock speeds up the overall usability of the weapon.
