AK 47 Best Attachments & Class Setups Black Ops Cold War

The AK-47 is a fully automatic Assault Rifle in Black Ops Cold War. The AK has a lower fire rate with moderate recoil compared to the other ARs in Cold War

It’s balanced with a high damage range. This high damage range is most effective in medium-range engagements.

In this guide, we go through the AK 47’s weapon stats such as damage, rate of fire, and accuracy. We then suggest the weapon’s best attachments based on the gun’s stats. Finally, the guide provides the best class setups to use when running the AK 47.

Weapon background

The AK-47 is a Call of Duty classic. It’s been in every Call of Duty released. It has always been a moderate firing, high damage assault rifle.

Ak47 Cold War Best Attachments

The best attachments for the AK-47 in Black Ops Cold War are the:

  • Spetsnaz Grip
  • Muzzle Brake 7.62
  • 40 Round Speed Mags
  • Infiltrator Grip
  • Suppressor

The Spetsnaz Grip and the Muzzle Brake combined turn the AK47 into a laser beam. The 40 Round Mags is to negate the low ammo and magazine capacity.

Other suggested attachments are any attachments to speed up the weapons ADS times in order to make the AK-47 more competitive in close range.

Best Class Setups

We have a good variety of classes below to suit all playstyles. Our favorite is the first one. Like old Black Ops 1 days.

Class 1 – Old Skool Stealth

This class is our favorite AK-47 class. It’s great for run and gun players that like to stay stealthy. Load the following onto the AK.

AK47 Gunsmith:

  • Suppressor
  • Infiltrator Grip
  • Taped Mags
  • Speed Tape
  • Wire Stock

Class Setup

The rest of the class is based on a class the author used to run back in Black Ops 1. Engineer and Ghost were a must back then because of the Claymore and UAV spam. Its not much different now in Black Ops Cold War.

  • Secondary: Hauer 77
  • Perk 1: Engineer
  • Perk 2: Tracker
  • Perk 3: Ghost
  • Lethal: Frag
  • Tactical: Stun
  • Field Upgrade: Proximity Mine
  • Wildcard: Lawbreaker

Class 2 – AK74u On Steroids

The second AK class provides you with the exact blueprint to make the AK74u submachine gun but on steroids. It’s a little beast.

AK47 Gunsmith:

  • Muzzle Brake 7.62
  • 15.5” Ultralight Barrel
  • GRU 5MW Laser Sight
  • 40 Rnd Speed Mags
  • No Stock

Class Setup

The remainder of the AK-74u class is perfect for run and gun style players. Isn’t that what you should do with an SMG?

  • Secondary: 1911
  • Perk 1: Tac Mask
  • Perk 2: Scavenger
  • Perk 3: Ninja
  • Lethal: C4
  • Tactical: Stimshot
  • Field Upgrade: Field Mic
  • Wildcard: Players choice

Class 3 – RPK Heavy Hitter

The RPK heavy hitter is the blueprint to make the RPK in Black Ops Cold War. We had a lot of people asking us how to make the RPK in Cold War. So here it is. The weapon is great for long-range gunfights.

AK47 Gunsmith:

  • Royal & Kross 4X
  • KGB Eliminator
  • 20” Spetsnaz RPK Barrel
  • VDV 50 RND Fast Mags
  • Spetsnaz PKM Stock

Class Setup

The focus of the rest of the class setup is the Assault Pack Field upgrade. This is probably the most important part. Gung Ho is for the magnum. In case you need to get out of a sticky close quarter situation.

  • Secondary: Magnum
  • Perk 1: Engineer
  • Perk 2: Assassin
  • Perk 3: Gung Ho
  • Lethal: Molotov
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Assault Pack
  • Wildcard: Players Choice
